An interactive cultural workshop was conducted, focusing on the deep historical significance and authentic preparation rituals of Turkish coffee within the framework of Ottoman culinary tradition. The program was developed in partnership with distinguished faculty members from the Gastronomy Department, who delivered expert insights into the coffee's enduring cultural legacy, its precise brewing methodology, and its substantial symbolic function throughout Turkish history.
Additionally, a dynamic workshop on the practice of Turkish coffee fortune-telling was organized, engaging participants in this fundamental aspect of Turkish cultural heritage. This entertaining segment effectively demonstrated our traditional customs through a novel, participatory, and enjoyable format, successfully enabling socialization with Erasmus students via the amusing and intriguing process of interpreting symbols to speculate on future events.
